DocSmith SIF Generator is developed and operated by Star Wealth Dynamics LLC ("we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when using the DocSmith SIF Generator browser extension and related services.

1. Scope and Covered Services

This policy applies to the following DocSmith properties:

https://buy.docsmith.tools (checkout and payment handoff pages)
https://licensing.docsmith.tools (license issuance and validation APIs)
DocSmith browser extension distributions for supported Chromium browsers

2. Overview

DocSmith SIF Generator is a local-first utility designed to prepare UAE WPS Salary Information Files (SIF) with optional licensing and checkout connectivity.

Core payroll preparation, structural validation, and SIF generation run in the extension. Payroll rows are not uploaded as part of SIF generation; optional licensing and user-initiated checkout use the separate services described below.

Payroll rows are processed locally within the browser and are not uploaded by SIF generation. Drafts and related working data may be retained in the extension's IndexedDB or browser storage until the user clears them.

4. Local Storage

The extension may store the following locally:

Payroll drafts (IndexedDB)
Company profiles and presets
License activation status (chrome.storage.local)
Local diagnostic summaries used for operator troubleshooting

This extension data remains on the user's device until manually cleared or the relevant browser profile is removed.

5. Network Communication

The extension communicates only with:

These communications are used only for license activation, entitlement validation, and checkout/payment flow. Payroll row data from imported salary files is not transmitted. Checkout email is sent only when the user initiates the buy.docsmith.tools/buy/manualnavigation; it remains transiently in the extension UI and is not persisted to IndexedDB, extension storage, or localStorage. Retention by the external checkout/payment provider is governed by that provider's policy.

Related infrastructure providers may include Vercel and Railway.

6. No Analytics or Tracking

DocSmith SIF Generator does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party monitoring tools.

7. Data Retention

Payroll drafts and working data remain in local extension/browser storage until the user deletes drafts or clears browser storage. Checkout email is transient UI state and is cleared when the UI unloads or the value changes; it is not persisted by the extension.

License and transaction records maintained by our licensing and payment systems are retained only as required for service operation, fraud control, accounting, and legal obligations.

8. Data Rights and Requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data processed by our hosted licensing/checkout services. Requests can be submitted through our support contact listed below.

9. Security

The extension operates within Chrome's security sandbox. It does not use content scripts, DOM scraping, or background data collection.

10. Regulatory Notes (UAE Context)

We maintain privacy controls aligned with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL) principles, plus applicable sector and free-zone requirements when relevant to a customer's legal setup (for example, DIFC or ADGM entities).
